Welcome to First Friends Church

First Friends Church, the founding church of the city of Whittier and Whittier College invites you to take part in the Quaker Experience. Whether curious about the college's Quaker roots or seeking your own new or continuing experience there is much to explore here.

We believe that every person who comes into this fellowship of Friends was sent by God. We're eager to know you, and we're excited to share with you the genuine warmth of Christ's love.

You will soon discover that this is an authentic family, rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn and we reach out to each other and our world with simplicity and truth. We reach out to you as well. Our doors are open. Our hearts are open, too. If you've been seeking and praying for a place to belong, we'd like to say. . . Welcome Home!

Housing the Homeless
We help to support the feeding and housing of the homeless in our community. We work with various agencies to provide food, shelter, etc.

There is always a need for volunteers who wish to contribute their time by staying overnight with the homeless during these times. If interested, please contact the church office.
